Navigation

Navigating in WordPress is relatively simple once you’re familiar with the top tool bar and sidebar in the dashboard. The majority of WordPress functionality can be accessed just by the top bar, see images below:

The Dashboard Sidebar has a few welcome additions such as managing the Media Library, viewing Comments, Plugins, Users and Tools. Generally you will not need to touch Settings or Plugins but occassionally some blog sites can have issues with access. If your tutor is unable to read your blog, you may need to set visibility differently. This means allowing it to be avaialble outside of the University Network. To do this select the Settings Tab> Reading and scroll down. Click the option seen below and update/save.

If requested, you may need to add your Tutor as a user to your blog.

To Add Tutor as a User:

Sidebar > Users > Add User – Enter Tutors Username and select Subscriber
